What is an Expository Essay?
What is an Expository Essay? There are three major points to consider when you are writing an expository essay. One, you have to provide the reader with a brief summary of what your essay is about. Two, you must also provide in your essay an explanation as to why the author believes their argument to be valid. The expository essay does not have to be long, it can be as brief as one or two sentences or it can go on for pages. However, just remember that the more sentences and paragraphs that you use, the more confusing your essay will be for your readers. Just try to keep the sentence count down and focus on three or four points that you want to make. This is the best way to write an expository essay.Once you have chosen the three point topics that you are going to focus on, you need to research them. The easiest way to do this is to find articles and research the topics that you are writing about. Go online and read articles on these three major topics to familiarize yourself with the subject.Once you know what the topic is you will be writing an expository essay, you will then have to use that knowledge to write the introduction. This section of the essay is going to explain who the author is and how they came to their topic. They will usually begin by introducing themselves and their relationship to the subject matter. It will also explain what they hope to accomplish with their essay. After that you will move on to your specific point. In your essay you should do this in a very direct manner and also use some examples to help you with your point. When you use examples in the beginning of your essay, you will be able to show your readers exactly how you are stating your case. Finally, you should add a conclusion to your essay. This paragraph will summarize what you were trying to say and convince the reader that your essay was written effectively. You should make this paragraph as simple as possible so that it will be easy for the reader to understand. The exposit ory essay is not just about three point topics, there are many other topics that you can use as well. You just need to learn how to use the other topics to your advantage. An expository essay is great for explaining complex ideas. Keep in mind that you should give examples and make the arguments as simple as possible. Once you do this you will be able to tell your readers what you are trying to say without confusing them.
